Nintendo Switch Parts Breakdown

1. LCD Screen & Digitizer
The 6.2-inch display combines the visual output and touch interface. It’s replaceable if cracked, unresponsive, or showing dead pixels.

2. Joy-Con Controllers
Each Joy-Con includes:

  • Analog sticks (prone to drift)
  • SL/SR buttons
  • Sensor rails (for docking)
  • Rechargeable batteries
  • Motion sensors and HD rumble motors

3. Motherboard (Mainboard)
The central circuit board that houses the CPU, GPU, RAM, and internal storage controller. It connects all internal components and is essential for system operation.

4. Game Card Reader
Located at the top of the console, this module reads physical game cartridges. It’s a common replacement if games fail to load.

5. USB-C Charging Port
Used for charging and docking. Easily damaged from wear or improper cable use—often replaced during repairs.

6. Internal Battery
A 4310 mAh lithium-ion battery powers the console in handheld mode. It sits behind the screen and is replaceable.

7. Cooling System
Includes a fan, heat pipe, and thermal paste. Prevents overheating during extended gameplay.

8. Speakers
Stereo speakers located on either side of the screen. Can be replaced if audio is distorted or silent.

9. Kickstand & microSD Slot
The rear kickstand conceals the microSD card slot, allowing for expandable storage.

10. Housing & Shells
The outer casing protects internal components and can be swapped for cosmetic upgrades or repairs.
